Who We Are:

Forty9 - A Lifestyle Brand centers around a curated portfolio of offerings that speak to and through the lives we live and share with the world.  Sharing our love of unique culinary experiences, revealing our thoughts through creative media, offering our “for comfort” inspired merchandise, and supporting other like-minded ventures, Forty9 – A Lifestyle Brand will seek to enable our community to brightly manifest its light in the world.

Forty9 - A Lifestyle Brand will showcase the human ability to live one’s truest, happiest, and most authentic life, with a holistic focus on mind, body and comfort. 

 

Our Purpose:

Contribute to a better world by focusing on the celebration of unique authenticity by empowering individuals, especially those in the Black, Brown and LGBTQ communities to stand in their passion and dream big!

 

Inspiration

Forty9 - A Lifestyle Brand was conceived in 2020 from tragedy and a desire to celebrate the remembrance of life.  In 2016, our founder, Travis Peterson, along with so many others, lost his best friend in the tragic mass shooting at Pulse Orlando.  Shane Tomlinson is remembered for his passion for life.  His light and energy demanded of everyone around him to live with an abundance of joy.  Shane’s challenge to Travis, shortly before his passing, was to step outside of “manufactured” self and to walk into the destiny of what a limitless life could create.  That challenge, along with Shane’s encouragement to “stand in your passion and let your light shine” inspires all that we do at Forty9 – A Lifestyle Brand.  Our light will shine in Shane’s memory through our work, our products and in the many community projects in which we will participate and share space with like-minded businesses and causes.

As we continue to evolve, Forty9 – A Lifestyle Brand will always seek opportunities to partner with and uplift other Black, Brown, and LGBTQ businesses and ventures in support of our Vision: to contribute to a better world by focusing on the celebration of unique authenticity and by empowering individuals through many platforms.
